Proficiency level is a guide to how well you’re using Addness. It goes up with the “usage points” you earn as you use Addness. Completing goals, writing comments, and similar actions earn points, and as your level rises, you receive stars, medals, the chance to apply for the affiliate program, and more. Points count activity across all the organizations you belong to. Your level never goes down.
Where to see your level and points
Section titled “Where to see your level and points”- Header: On the right side of the header, to the left of the flame counter that shows consecutive days, you’ll see “Lv.” with a number, and your usage points. Press it to open the “Level path” (a panel below it on a computer, a sheet from the bottom on a phone). From “Open your usage report” inside it, you can go to “Me” in the Usage report. It doesn’t appear for guest accounts or during the first setup.
- Level path: Press the “Lv.” display in the header to open it. You can also open it from “See the level road” in “Me” in the Usage report. You can see your next milestone and the dates you reached each level so far. It also shows the next perk and how to level up. Opened from the header, it can be seen even when the Usage report has a lock on it.
- Breakdown: In the same “Me,” the “This week” tab shows “Actions that earned points this week”, which tells you what earned how many points. The “Total so far” tab shows points by way of use and your total so far. The breakdown is inside the Usage report, so in an organization where it’s locked, you can see it after you finish the challenge “Get to know the Usage report” or press “Skip and use it (no points)” (→ Usage report).
- When points go up: When your usage points go up, the number you gained and a short message appear. Switch this in My Settings, under “Display & language” → “Show points gained”. Even if you turn it off, your level and points stay displayed (→ Settings).
How to earn points
Section titled “How to earn points”The table below shows the points for the main actions. The action names match how the Usage report counts them. Actions not listed here can also earn points. You can check what earned how many points in the Usage report’s “Actions that earned points this week”.
| Points | Action |
|---|---|
| 5 | Meeting notes requested, screen recordings saved, templates created, knowledge created, routines created, KPIs added |
| 3 | Goals completed, deliverables created |
| 2 | Files uploaded, mind maps created, huddles started |
| 1 | Goals created, ToDos completed, comments posted, chat messages sent, every 10 actions from Claude Code / Codex |
These actions also earn points.
- Features used for the first time: You get 10 points, once per feature.
- Daily bonus: You get 50 points, once a day, for the first completion that day that extends the consecutive-day count on the flame counter (completing a goal, completing a calendar event, and so on). How to read the consecutive days is explained in Streak.
- When someone you invited joins: You get 100 points.
- When a friend you referred signs a contract for the first time: You get 100 points.
- Challenges: When you finish a challenge, you get the points set for that challenge (→ Challenges and feature locks).
Opening a notification on the screen earns 1 point, and getting your unread notifications down to 0 earns 3 points. Simply updating a goal doesn’t earn points. Actions from Claude Code / Codex earn 1 point per 10 actions, starting October 24, 2026 (LINE reads by Addness Agent aren’t counted). Goals you create or complete with Claude Code or Codex also earn points.
Daily point limit
Section titled “Daily point limit”Points for actions have a daily limit for each of the six ways of use (Set and break down goals / Manage today’s work / Discuss and decide / Save and share / Review metrics and customers / Delegate to AI). The limit starts at 100 points, then becomes 120 at Lv7, 140 at Lv14, 160 at Lv21, 180 at Lv28, and 200 at Lv35. The limit goes up from the day after you reach that level.
Points for first-time features, the daily bonus, invitations, referrals, and challenges don’t count toward the daily limit. Points over the limit are noted below “Actions that earned points this week” as not included in this week’s total.
Points needed for each level
Section titled “Points needed for each level”Your level is decided by the total of the usage points you’ve accumulated. There’s no maximum level.
| Level | Total needed | Level | Total needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lv2 | 15 | Lv10 | 1,000 |
| Lv3 | 40 | Lv12 | 1,600 |
| Lv4 | 100 | Lv15 | 3,100 |
| Lv5 | 300 | Lv17 | 4,500 |
| Lv7 | 500 | Lv20 | 7,700 |
From Lv61, the total points needed grow to about 1.1 times those of the previous level at each step.
Stars and “Active now”
Section titled “Stars and “Active now””When you’ve used Addness on 16 or more days in the last 4 weeks (28 days), you’re “Active now.” The screen also shows this as “Active.”
- Star: From Lv4, a star appears on your icon. It’s blue while you’re active now, and gray when you haven’t reached that. The star color updates every morning.
- Gold star: From Lv20, the star turns gold while you’re active now.
- Who can see it: Members of the same organization can see your level and star. On Network, they appear only while “Show proficiency level and achievements in Network” under “Visibility” in My Settings is on (→ Visibility settings, My Page).
When your level goes up
Section titled “When your level goes up”When your level goes up, “You reached proficiency level ◯” appears on the screen, along with the way of use that earned the most points in the last 4 weeks. Press “See details in your usage report” to open the Usage report, or “Share on Network” to open a post to Network. The post isn’t published until you add a few words and press “Post”. When the Usage report or Network has a lock on it, the button shows a lock mark, and pressing it opens the lock window for that feature (→ Challenges and feature locks).
